Don’s Story

Since discovering his 12-year-old son had a substance abuse problem Don has devoted his life to the whys and hows of parenting in difficult circumstances. This led him to developing effective strategies for parents with strong-willed or out-of-control children in both traditional and single-parent families. His experienceas a para-professional counselor, a mentor-trainer, and a mentor in both urban andsuburban communities has prepared himfor the roller coaster ride labeled parenting. Don and his wife Sandy are enjoying life in Greenville, North Carolina with two of their five children, three of their eight grandchildren and two of their four great grandchildren.
